Hello Monday - almost the end of January

Not a bad way to usher in the last weekend of January:   It was a beautiful Saturday so we made it out to the dog park.   I was looking at the weather where all of our other family lives. . . I just couldn't resist -- sunshine-y everywhere but Ohio.  Of course.  Chilly for my brother down in Hudson (FL) and pretty nice for us and Nashville.  And yes, we did reach 53 degrees!!  On January 28th!!!  Now on to February -- generally the longest shortest month of the year :/ I'm linking up with  Sarah  and  Holly  for Hello Monday.   These are fun bloggers to keep up with so when you are finished here, head over to their blogs to see what they have been up to. It was a quiet weekend. . .I got some work done on Saturday, finally  put the last of my Christmas stuff away, church Sunday and this little project: I haven't been able to figure out what to do with these (2018-2022) and found a space in our laundry room.  I'm slowing down this year and not committing to as much so don

What's Up Wednesday - January 2023

It's the last Wednesday of the month!!  Apparently I haven't done one of these since July 2022  so let me see if I can get this one published -- the first one of 2023 :) I'm linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  today :). Other notable meals we've had this month - Christmas leftovers burgers and Sam's club Southwest Salad kit and Ms. Barbara's chicken pot pie!!! Next "big" meal will be Ms. Barbara's and my birthdays in February -- hoping Tom and the kids will grill something and the kids make some great appetizers to usher in another y

Another Fun Gatlinburg Weekend

This group showed up for an "Aunt Jodi" hiking weekend in Gatlinburg this past weekend.  We had people from Boston, Nashville, Chattanooga, Cookeville, Knoxville, and Cincinnati under one roof together.  What a great time we had! I'm linking up with  Sarah  and  Holly  for Hello Monday.   These are fun bloggers to keep up with so when you are finished here, head over to their blogs to see what they have been up to. The "adults" (those paying for the weekend ;) ) arrived around 4 p.m. and had a couple of quiet hours before the other 11 arrived -- all had to work Friday. . .welcome to adulting!! Love being with my sister! We enjoyed some time on the porch in front of the fire enjoying the views before putting together some guacamole to go with the queso, chicken, chips, rice, and salsa we made for the "eat when you get here" dinner we put together for the crew:  Finally, by 9 p.m., all four of our kids and one of my nieces were there bringing 6 friends
