Friday Favorites - March 6, 2026

I was on a phone call one day this week and afterwards turned around and saw this.  He was so happy to have me home for the day and just felt relaxed and happy I think.  You'll see more of him in a minute - he's certainly a FAVORITE in this house.
Linking up with Erika and Andrea for another week of FAVORITES!  If you want to join in, blog about your FAVORITES from the week, head to one of their blogs, and link up with us!  It really is fun to click on a few new-to-me blogs each week and "meet" new people in blogworld this way.
It's March. . .almost spring. . .so I headed to Esty and found these :). I'm NOT creative but like to find people who are and use their work!  Here we go. . .
Sunshine.  I cannot tell you how it saves my life.  Dramatic but true.  Add that sunshine to some of the warmer weather we have had this week and all is right with the world.  I've survived another winter.  I know, I know, there is probably one more freeze (possibly even snow) around the corner, but I think spring has sprung and you can't take that away from me!! These pics are from February but there's been a lot of sun and warmer temps this week too!
I've already mentioned this guy - the Star of the Show in our family.  Erin has had him for almost two years now and we will miss him terribly when they move out (she's hoping to find something after tax season this year) - there will be the biggest hole in our lives.  Chelsea will have to go back to us annoying her more than she likes - ha!
All of these pictures were taken this week when I was working from home. . .I moved something in the room I use for my office space and he stood at that window quite a bit.  Yesterday I took this picture from my office window - it's hard to see through the screen, but that's him, lounging on my lounger on the deck :)
As I'm typing this at 7 a.m. Friday morning here he is:
And here is our sweet 13-yr-old:
The Star of Our Show for a dozen years now!
Not quite as much energy, but she had her annual check-up this week and is doing a great :)
A couple FAVORITES from work. . .I have an awesome team and one of the ladies who works out of town sent us "happy" packages this week:
Wasn't that just the nicest thing??  She's been crocheting and that sunflower is a crocheted bookmark :). It's too nice for work - it's already in my current "real book" that I mentioned earlier this week I'm reading - John Grisham's The Widow.
I snapped this picture this morning on my way downstairs - this is where I get to work when I work from home - we set this up last fall and it is a FAVORITE.  I'm very thankful for this space.
I mostly stand when I work, hence the tall piece of furniture I use as a desk, but recently did buy that chair, which is pretty comfortable when I do want to sit for a bit.  I'm pretty sure I know how I want to decorate those walls. . . stay tuned ;)
Remember I said that I'm not the "creative" one?  Here's another example of people sharing their talents with me - I created the course (on the left) and sent it to my coworker (boy, it's a FAVORITE, working with these ladies!!!) and she created what is on the right.
I am SO LUCKY to be surrounded by talent on my team who shares their expertise with me.
BTW, I'm her "editor" - strangely enough, she likes it when I point out grammatical errors :/. (Or, at least, says she does - ha!)
Pickleball outside is a FAVORITE!!  We have done this twice now this year (Tom was with me this time too, but I got a shot of us, the only two ladies that were there that night) and hope to be out there a lot more moving forward.  There are some people playing this morning but I'm going to log in on time and work through my day I think.  Plenty of time ahead to play I think/hope!!
Blogs.  They continue to be a FAVORITE for sure.  I get so much inspiration from the ones I read - recipes (although I don't cook much!!), books to read, things to do, and ways to be grateful.  Jenn posted this one day this week - I sent the image to a friend who is facing a difficult weekend - sometimes I just don't have the words but then things like this come through:
I don't spend a lot of time on socials so love seeing what you all mine from that world to share :). I'm looking through to see what else I have that I copied. . .
And then there's this. . .
There you go - some FAVORITES of mine this week!
Please let me know what else I "need" in my life :)
Love,
Jenni

  3. Our dog is my hubs shadow. Where he goes, the pup goes. We had a boat ride last weekend and it was so nice. Made me so excited and ready for summer boating season. We don't go out that much in the 'pollen' month because hubs likes to keep it covered to make clean up easier. We had a beautiful day yesterday and I hope winter has had it's last hurrah here.

  4. We finally saw the sun on Friday! It was invigorating! There's a 100% chance of rain today (sad face emoji because we DON'T need rain...). The package your coworker sent was so thoughtful and for sure that adorable bookmark is too nice for work :). You're probably playing pickleball right now- may the ball bounce exactly where you want it to go and have a great rest of your weekend!

  5. OH yes we had some sunshine and warm weather earlier in the week and it felt amazing... of course that makes the snow flurries and 30 degree times seem that much colder too though. But the storm we were supposed to get dumping a food of snow on us has changed to rain so I'll take it! That package your co-worker sent is so sweet.
