Just for fun, I went in to see how much we used Amazon in 2025. I was NOT prepared to see that we placed almost 300 unique orders to this company!! Keep in mind Tom and I both use the account, he orders for his family (rarely - I bet only 10-20 of these orders were for them), and the girls use our account too. I bet we had 150+ orders come to our house just FOR US this year??? I couldn't have guessed. Because of the wedding we made LOTS of orders that got sent back (ugh - shopping for dresses was NOT fun) - Amazon makes it sooooo super-easy to return - I would say I return at least 25% of clothing (if not more) that I order. Just this week I sent back a top I really liked except for the neck. Sigh. I still prefer shopping for clothes (mainly) in a store. It's Friday, so this seems like a great FRIDAY FAVORITES post :). Linking up with Andrea and Erika for this. If you blog, consider listing some of your favorites from the week and linking up too.
Earlier this week I decided to look through and share what I have loved and would buy again or suggest to others. I am not an affiliate blogger - the only reason I am posting links is so you don't have to search for yourself ;). Chances are MOST item suggestions have come from bloggers - remember "back in the day" when we would shop with our friends and get recommendations from them in "real time" at the store??? I guess this is the 21st century way of shopping :/
I decided to do a couple of categories:
My "on repeat" orders - products I use, use up, and then reorder:
I treat myself to one a day :)
Best
stain remover around.
Andrea recommended it years ago and I've never not had it in my house since.
I love these eye shadow sticks - looks like I stocked up again in October. I have 4-5 that I use as my "neutral" base every day I put make-up on. Chances are there is a "better" item out there, but I haven't found it yet. I bought one of these for all the girls for their stockings this year when I had to re-order some for me in October. I'm pretty sure it was Kelley who first suggested this product to me.
This foundation - last purchased in December - I like the applicator
Amazon is telling me I have purchased
this bronzer 4 times -
I do a deeper shade in the summer, lighter in the winter months
I have been using this
BB Cream/Sunscreen for well over a dozen years. At one point I couldn't find it in stores and didn't know what to do!! I finally found it on Amazon and now just re-order as I need it. I don't go a day without it.
It doesn't seem to matter how many different mascara brands I try, I keep coming back to
this one:
Around the house:
Katie put this on a "favorites" list at some point and now almost every room/hallway in my house has either a motion-sensor light or one of these outlet covers. It makes such a difference (in my opinion) to have that gentle light in a dark room or hallway. I usually wait until they go on sale and buy them two at a time.
Shay has mentioned this as a "favorite" again and again - it really IS that great!! I'm surprised how much we use it and how happy I am to have it - MUCH better than spraying a spot and scrubbing your carpet, in my opinion. I think this is our third (or fourth?)
toaster oven in the last 11 years. . .we wear them out!! My siblings and I got these for our parents for Christmas a couple of years ago and I always like using my Mom's when I'm at her house so when it was time to replace ours
again I bought this and so far have been happy with it.

My guess is that it's used 4-5 times every.single.day.
I bought these during Prime Days and am so glad I did. I used to keep my out-of-season clothes in tubs on my closet shelves - now they are neatly packed away under the guest bed in my office. I want them for so many other things now too! This is SO random, but I bought these portable/foldable/reusable trash bins for our tailgate this year.
I'm pretty sure it was
Erin who mentioned using them at a party she hosted.
This is my favorite FAVORITE item I have bought this year. Although you can buy the product on Amazon, I order from OurPlace directly. I have given this to at least 4 people (2 were wedding gifts) this year. I will continue to suggest it to anyone looking for the BEST non-stick all-purpose pan around.
My
mixed nuts and roasted veggies. . .

frittatas, grilled meats. . .even a Texas Sheet Cake! Best pan ever!
Things I've ordered to wear:
Shay has gone on and on about
these and she is right to! I LOVE my pair and will consider an additional color in the future - I truly just don't wear dresses/skirts as much as I used to. I was very thankful for the fleece lining at Christmas/New Years this year when I DID wear a dress and will order again if I ever "need" something in another color.
I bought
these earrings to wear for the wedding - I will continue to wear them :)
Erin bought me
this for Christmas - I'm just now seeing she ordered it from here :) I love it.
This was my "Christmas outfit" this year and I really liked it! I would consider getting the red too but when/why would I wear it??

My Dad's wife wanted pictures of me by the tree - obviously I didn't even know where to look! I did need to wear a black tank underneath this day but wore it another time with a strapless bra.
I love
this sweater, as does
Amy, and would buy it in three more colors if I needed three more sweaters in my closet. I have two :)

I bought
this top solely for this costume but ended up really liking it and would order it in other colors if I had a need for another long-sleeved cotton shirt in my closet.
I really, really like
these pants. I think I have them in two colors now - I was hoping that they would be a good "in between" from getting too dressed up for work and being too casual. They are SUPER comfortable - if I was still in the classroom I bet they would be all I would ever wear.
I also bought a lot of
these pants this year and probably shared the link a dozen times. Who knows if palazzo pants will still be "in style" this year - I certainly hope so! I wore them constantly - I have them in black, grey, white, and two shades of brown/tan.

I don't wear all my tennis skirts for tennis - some are better for "everyday" wear. I hate shorts, so if I'm not wearing pants or a skirt, I'm wearing a tennis skirt - this is one that fits in that category:
As I'm writing this, it's on sale - I wish they were offering a color I don't already have, otherwise I'd buy another!
This skirt I actually DO use for tennis and
always get compliments on it. I have 2 or 3 in this style.
I bought
these in the fall and am CERTAIN I did not pay $16 for them!!! Wow!!! I didn't want to "invest" in a pair of sneakers because I couldn't decide how much I would "really" wear them. . .turns out, quite a bit! I still haven't bought any more because I DON'T wear sneakers as much as fashion dictates that I should, but there is nothing wrong with this brand (that I can tell) and this price is insane right now.
I think I have 6-7 of
these?? Mostly neutrals - everytime I look at them online I want to buy a "color" but I don't "need" any more tank tops (right now). I wear them to the gym just as much as I wear them under a sweater for work. They wash great - I don't put most of my clothes (including these) in the dryer - my original 3-4 that I first ordered are still in perfect condition.
Tell me you are 45+ without telling me you are 45+. . .I wear these and have a pair in every room and every vehicle and every bag - ha!! And then, this year, my eye doctor recommended I get a slighter stronger pair :(.
These were my choice and a pack I would order again.
I added
this find to my order twice this year - yes, I am old.
Etc items - impulse purchases, would make a good gift, fun stuff:
Sophie mentioned
this sleep mask on her
podcast. I like to fall asleep listening to my book or a podcast but Tom has to have complete silence. I do not like wearing my air pods unless completely necessary. This seems to be a perfect compromise on nights that I "need" to listen to something to fall asleep and the price was right :)
One of my
favorite books last year!!

I'm currently reading
this one: Jeff is a friend of a friend whom I have met a couple of times - I love his leadership coaching and so when he wrote
this book this year I was on the pre-order list, then bought a couple of copies for people at work. It's a great read if you find yourself wanting to be better at giving feedback to your employees!
This is the silliest thing, but they bring me so much joy - these
file folders! I use them every day for work and just love them.
This was a fun puzzle to do!
Another
Prime Days purchase and something I put on my gift list as a potential "favorites" down the road. Not only is it great just to put next to you (or hang next to you) if you are hot, but then I heard the "hack" to keep it near your food on a buffet table to keep the bugs away! Genius!
I bought
these to add to the bags I had made for our
Girls' Weekend in Cincinnati this year :)
The kids made fun of me for
this purchase but then proceeded to put it up every time we got on the lake, so they must have liked it too :)
As you can tell, I'm very influenced by my fellow bloggers :). If I didn't give you credit for something above, please let me know in the comments!! This took me two days to write - I'm truly surprised at the amount of items we do purchase from Amazon and how dependent "we've" become on this service! Remember when getting a package was "special"? I do appreciate the convenience, I just think it makes life and "needs" different now.
Let me know if I'm missing out on something GREAT - I have an extensive wish list that I sometimes peruse and always point to when my family says "it's your birthday, what would you like?" This happened recently and I pointed Tom to my Amazon wish list and he said, "all that stuff is boring". Yep, I do believe maybe we have become "boring" people - ha! Maybe Amazon has taken "uniqueness" out of our lives? Hmmmmm. . .something to ponder. . .
Happy Friday Friends!
