Thanksgiving 2012

Grandpa Foster, Grandpa Fred, Nana, Marie, Frederick, Margaret, Thomas (front) Debbie had this great idea, to set the tractor up in the front yard for family pictures.  The one of the kids and grandparents turned out great.  The one of the six of us turned out good too. Debbie (Tom's cousin) and Patrick have such a beautiful home. . .and put a memorable Thanksgiving together each year :)  Not only were the Tennessee cousins there, but also the New York cousins. . .and we got a picture of all of them too!! Four of these kiddos are in 4th grade. . .a fifth grader, 6th grader, 8th grader, and HS freshman.  There will be a lot of college graduations, weddings, and baby showers in a decade or so with this Bell Bunch.   I *love* this picture of Aunt Barbara. . .so happy in the kitchen.  This day was a bittersweet day, being the first Thanksgiving not shared with her husband, Uncle Earl.  He has been missed since his passing in the spring.  Seeing his son t

THANKFUL

I am thankful for a few extra moments this morning to blog.  I am thankful for my camera, technology, and the ability to share.  This is a *random* list and not meant to be in any order and inclusive or exclusive of anyone or anything. . .this post is a way for me to share some pictures and reminisce about my blessings.  As of this moment, 5:48 a.m. on a Tuesday morning, I have no idea what pictures I'll post or what I'll say. . .I'm not even going to look for anything in particular . . .let's see where it goes :) The first picture that popped up in a folder that was already open. . .I am thankful for this 10-yr-old, little Miss Margaret.  I am in awe of her upper-body strength, her toned legs and her abilities out on the gym floor.  She is beautiful and thoughtful and amazing. I'm thankful for my oldest .  This may not be the best picture of him, but he's in his element and it's the first one I came to.  He wears his uniform every day that it's

14?!?

Yes, I got him to do it.  He's a great kid :) I think he had a nice birthday. . .kinda low-key. . .all gifts opened by 8 a.m. ON A SATURDAY no less.  Ugh.  That was tough. . .up-and-moving so early when we didn't *have* to. . .but he was happy :) And Miss Margaret wrapped *all* of the gifts this year -- yea!!!!  She is awesome too :) And now, today, wake-up call is 5:30 a.m. for our cheerleader. . .everyone else a little before 6. . .heading out the door at 6:15 a.m. for a 7:45 a.m. call at the NCA Classic in Nashville.  This will be the first time the entire family goes to a cheer event. . .but it will be a short one.  We have a full weekend coming up in two weeks -- yea!  It's her time to shine. . .after 3,846 soccer games this fall -- ha!

Keeping Up

Saturday morning, 7:30 a.m.  Wow. . .what does that mean?!?  If "keeping up" means keeping in touch with family through this blog, that would be a big, fat "F".  If "keeping up" means getting to work and school and sports activities on time each day I think our family would make an "A".  If "keeping up" means a clean house and meals on the table. . .well. . .I wouldn't give us an "F" but a "C" would be stretching it. . .we generally leave the house at 7 a.m. each morning and return home 8-pm-ish in the evening.  It's a busy, full, life.  This is the first Saturday since mid-summer that we only have one thing on the calendar.  And it's a local, afternoon, no pressure, "fun" game.  The idea of not having to get someone somewhere before noon is about as rare as a blue moon.  I might even finish this post today :) OH, AND I SPOKE TOO SOON.  Just this very minute a text came in. . .apparently a
